Privacy

Rewy is an application that works without creating an account. It is designed so that the content you create — photos, notes, projects — stays on your device, without going through a server. This page explains precisely what is collected, what isn't, and why.

What Rewy does not collect

The app never asks for a sign-up, a username, or an email address. The photos, notes, and projects you create in Rewy are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to Neroteq or to any third party. There is no automatic cloud backup in the current version of the app.

What Rewy collects: anonymous usage statistics

To understand how the app is used overall and to improve it, Rewy sends anonymous usage events via PostHog, an analytics service hosted in the European Union (Ireland). These events are associated with a technical identifier generated locally on your device — not with your identity, your name, or your email address, which Rewy doesn't know in the first place.

Concretely, these events may indicate, for example:

No project name, no note text, and no photo is ever included in these events. Cross-app tracking (IDFA) is disabled and never used — Rewy therefore does not request App Tracking Transparency permission on launch.

Legal basis and purpose

This processing is based on Neroteq's legitimate interest in understanding aggregate app usage in order to improve it, strictly limited to non-identifying data. You can ask at any time that this data no longer be associated with your device by contacting us (see "Your rights" below).

Recipients of the data

The only third parties involved are:

No data is ever sold or shared for advertising purposes.

Retention period

Data stored on your device (projects, photos, notes) stays there until you delete it yourself or uninstall the app. Anonymous usage statistics are kept by PostHog for a maximum of 24 months.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, objection, and portability over data concerning you. Given how Rewy works, most of these rights are exercised directly within the app (deleting a project, uninstalling). For any question about the anonymous usage statistics, write to us at privacy@rewyapp.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Cookies

This website does not set any tracking cookie or advertising tracker.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated, in particular if new features (such as a Rewy+ subscription or a sync feature) change the data processed. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
